چکیده

Background: Onfarm Testings were conducted to asses effect of TNAU Pulse wonder in pigeonpea variety LRG-52 ten farmer’s holdings kurnool district during kharif from 2018-19 2020-21. Methods: The experiment consisted 7 technology options (treatments). T1: consisting recommended dose fertilizers along with spraying pulse @ 5 kg ha-1 flowering and 15 days after 1st spray, T2: 75% RDF + at flowering, T3: 50% flowering,T4: 100% RDF+ 2% DAP pod formation stage T5: alone (20:50: 0 NPK ha-1),T6: Farmers practice ( 30: 60: 10 ),T7: Control. Data was analyzed using least significant difference R software. Result: results revealed that the T1 recorded highest plant height (130,129,127 cm 2018-19, 2019-20 2020-21 respectively). lowest flower shedding observed treatment while it under T6 all three years study. Pod yield (1889, 1870 ,1873 2019-2020 respectively) T7. average benefit cost ratio (4.0) realized farmers (T6). Seed positively correlated number flowers -1 (r value 0.813, 0.762 0.735) test weight 0.795,0.8 0.754) negatively r -0.788,-0.712 -0.750) respectively. final crop is cumulative effects growth attributes which manipulate favorable parameters for higher yields.

Integrated Weed Management in Pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.]

Uncontrolled weeds cause considerable losses in the grain yield of pigeonpea. Field experiments were conducted for seven years from 1998 to 2004 on a loamy sand soil to study the effect of weed management on weeds, growth and grain yield of pigeonpea. In some years, weed dry matter was higher than in others, due to variation in rainfall received. Two hand weedings, pendimethalin in integration ...

Genetic Patterns of Domestication in Pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.) and Wild Cajanus Relatives

Pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan) is an annual or short-lived perennial food legume of acute regional importance, providing significant protein to the human diet in less developed regions of Asia and Africa. Due to its narrow genetic base, pigeonpea improvement is increasingly reliant on introgression of valuable traits from wild forms, a practice that would benefit from knowledge of its domestication ...

The flavonoid profile of pigeonpea, Cajanus cajan: a review

BACKGROUND Pigeonpea is ranked as the sixth largest grain legume produced by volume and as such is a major global food crop for livestock and human consumption. We show that pigeonpea contains a number of flavonoids and report their distribution and concentration within different parts of the plant. FINDINGS There are a total of 27 flavonoids reported in the literature representing seven flav...

New Hypervariable SSR Markers for Diversity Analysis, Hybrid Purity Testing and Trait Mapping in Pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millspaugh]

Draft genome sequence in pigeonpea offers unprecedented opportunities for genomics assisted crop improvement via enabling access to genome-wide genetic markers. In the present study, 421 hypervariable simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers from the pigeonpea genome were screened on a panel of eight pigeonpea genotypes yielding marker validation and polymorphism percentages of 95.24 and 54.11%, re...
